Dublin City Council this week announced details of a major city centre event to mark the London Olympics -- the 'Samsung Run Dublin At Night 10k'. The 10k Night Run, which is expected to attract upwards of 5,000 entrants, will take place at 8:30pm on Sunday, April 29.
As a worldwide partner of the London Olympics, Samsung, together with event partner Dublin City Council, want to bring some of the spirit and excitement of the Games to Dublin. Early entry is advised for this new event.
The race route starts and finishes at Trinity College, and will include some of Dublin's most iconic landmarks, passing the GPO, the Custom House, the Convention Centre and the Samuel Beckett Bridge.The race evening will conclude with a post-event party for participants with music, the Irish Village Farmers Market and entertainment at Trinity College.
